What To Wear And What Not To Wear When You Go Paintballing

Paintball is definitely a tremendous sport but it really is important that you wear the right gear to avoid getting injured. Wearing the right clothes not only makes the sport of paintball more enjoyable but it also makes it safer. A lot of folks think that you have to wear gear and clothes specifically for paintball and that's just not true.

Occasionally you will see many people playing paintball in shorts and t-shirts and that's just not a good thought. You're also bound to run into the folks that think or believe they're professional paintballers and that this specific paintball game is the superbowl of paintballing. While certain items can change the way you play paintball, the clothes you wear will have little to no impact unless you're the dolt that went out there in a t-shirt and shorts. When deciding what to wear it's important to wear something you'll be comfortable in, wear something that's flexible and cover as much skin as possible.

When deciding what clothes to play paintball with choose clothes that are preferably thicker and make sure you pick clothes that will cover both your arms and your legs. Wearing casual clothes is ok for paintball just stay away from any light-colored clothes because they could get stained due to the paint from the paintballs. If wearing your own clothes, wear clothes that are preferably thick, wear clothes that cover your legs and arms and finally wear something that is loose enough to allow you to be flexible.

Whatever you do don't wear anything new or anything that you do not need to lose because not only do you risk getting paint all over it but your clothes could also get torn from rolling around on the ground. Your best bet is to wear clothes that are comfortable and that cover your arms and legs.

I get a lot of questions about camouflage and all I have to say is that paintball isn't real combat so camo may be overkill. Paintballs can bruise or welt your skin so wearing clothes that cover your arms and legs and that are a little thicker then just a t-shirt can help more then wearing camouflage. Another body part you want to consider is the back of your neck because paintball normally takes place outside.

A paintball mask is more important then any clothing you wear out on the paintball field though. Getting hit it the eyes with a paintball that is traveling at about 300 feet per second could result in a serious injury unless you're wearing a good paintball mask to protect your eyes, ears and face. You can also wear goggles to protect your eyes but goggles will do little to protect your face and ears. If you take anything away from this article it should be that you can get seriously injured if you don't protect your eyes out on the paintball field.

Again the most important thing when it comes to clothes is to cover yourself from head to toe and to be comfortable in your clothing. Something else you may want to consider is wearing some gloves to protect your hands. When choosing your clothing just make sure to remember that you may be doing some crouching, rolling and crawling out on the paintball field and that paintballs will be shot at you at a speed of about 300 feet per second on average. Wear some clothes that will allow you to play paintball and not just look cool and you should be fine.

Should You Consider A Pump paintball Gun?

A lot of beginners that are just learning how to play paintball sadly never consider using or buying a pump paintball gun. For whatever reason the pump paintball gun has acquired a negative stigma and isn't even considered in the decision making process. The concern with pump paintball guns is that you'll be at a disadvantage against users of electric paintball guns. True enough playing with a pump paintball gun will put you at a disadvantage but it will also give you the chance to hone and improve your overall game as well.

When playing paintball it is often the players who have practiced with pump paintball guns that have a distinct advantage on the paintball field. Obviously electric paintball guns shoot faster but are they more accurate? Pump paintball gun users are more accurate because they have to be but some paintballers also believe that pump paintballing guns are also more accurate because they are steadier the their counterparts. Pump paintball guns are just steadier in your hands then electric paintballing guns when you fire and this leads to more accurate shots. When you combine these things together it usually leads to a paintballer who is pretty accurate on the paintballing field.

If you are having trouble with your accuracy you may want to consider practicing on the paintball field with a pump paintball gun. Practicing with a pump paintball gun will not only improve your game but it will also help you become a better strategist on the paintball field. Too a lot of paintballers these days rely almost entirely on their paintball guns to take out their opposition and don't develop and real skills in the process. If you're looking for a surefire way to improve your paintball game try practicing with a pump paintball gun.
